The legal bit

By submitting this form I declare that I am the parent or guardian of said child/children and that the information in this form is correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that I am responsible for the directing or conducting of my child's education. Submitting this form is the equivalent to my signature and is giving permission to AliYah Academy to request school documents for said child/children. Our full policies live in the family handbook.

Read the condensed handbook

AliYah Academy supports families providing a Scripture-based education built on personal responsibility and family involvement. This is a short summary — the full Guidelines & Policies Handbook is the complete version.

Legal status & your county

AliYah Academy is a Category IV church-related (umbrella) school registered with the Tennessee Department of Education, and a member of TACRS, HSLDA, and THEA. Enrolling satisfies Tennessee's homeschool registration requirement, and we notify your county on your behalf. Students are not required to take state tests, and graduates receive an official Tennessee high school diploma. Outside Tennessee: homeschool laws vary by state and country, and it is the parent's responsibility to comply — we're glad to help you find and understand your state's requirements.

Parent responsibility

A parent or legal guardian is responsible for each student's schooling and grades. We do not accept memberships from students (even at 18). Students may be independent learners, but parental oversight and instruction are required.

Curriculum

You choose and oversee your own curriculum — we don't mandate one. Guidance and recommendations are available on request, and AliYah Academy may review student progress if needed.

Records, grades & re-enrollment

Submit your courses at the start of the year, and report grades twice a year — Mid-Year by January 1 and End-of-Year by June 1 (Seniors: May 1). You re-enroll each school year; your account runs through June 1. Courses, grades, and attendance are all recorded in your online account.

Attendance

Tennessee requires at least 180 days of instruction (about 6.5 hours/day as a guideline, including breaks and meals). Learning can be hands-on, not just desk work. Track attendance however works for your family and report it once a year with your Semester 2 grades; an Attendance Form is available to print or upload if your state needs it.

High school & graduation

Plan coursework around your student's goals. To graduate: request graduation in your account, earn a minimum of 22 credits, and complete the required course areas. Our advisors review and verify each request; graduates receive a Tennessee diploma, one personal transcript, and two official sealed & notarized transcripts.

Fees

Membership is $75 for the first student, $25 each additional student, capped at $150 per family (families of more than four are included at no extra cost). Additional fees may apply — a senior fee in 12th grade, a transcript fee for high-school years not enrolled with us, and an early-graduation consideration fee — see the current fee schedule for amounts. No refunds are issued.

Documents

We may require a student birth certificate, immunization records or exemption (if your state requires), and a parent diploma/GED (if your state requires). Records are stored securely and never shared without your permission. Document requests (Proof of Enrollment, SF-1010 DMV form, Social Security/VA paperwork, work-permission letters, transcripts, and more) are made through your account — allow up to two weeks.

Your account

From your account you can re-enroll or add students, record classes/grades/attendance, print a personal transcript or report card, request official documents, ask to speak with our Special Needs Advisor, sign up for events and field trips, and access member benefits.

Confidentiality, conduct & communication

Student records are confidential and released only with your consent or an official school request. Members are expected to act with integrity, humility, and respect; membership may be revoked for conduct that threatens the school's credibility. Please keep your contact information current — we send reminders by email, and you can request appointments through your account.

Enrollment may only be completed by a parent or legal guardian, using full legal names. Thank you for choosing AliYah Academy — happy homeschooling!
